I'm leaving the hospital after 5 days. Looking out my window, it's all grey with a whiteout. I'll need to walk through snow to get in my door at home. Your piece brings me joy to know the truth that despite what I see, Spring is already here and ready to show itself any day!

I am so glad this can bring you a glimpse of joy, especially upon leaving the hospital. May the healing energies of spring bring you health and happiness over the weekend. It has been a long winter...

We cannot wait until you get home and into a sense of a new normal, one that helps reset some of the challenging expectations modern society often brings us without our knowing it.

Well, at least I saw that it really made no difference to anyone else in the world, so I don't need to feel extra guilty.

Perhaps you may not see it, but insofar as living beings are connected, there are effects. We may not have had this conversation in this way had the past week not been as it was.

Thank you. I've felt like I wasted a week and got nothing accomplished, but the world went on without me without a blip!

Feeling like you wasted a week seems like that productivity, competitive culture talking. I think we both suffer from that manipulation of human life.

BTW, guilt is often brought on by external expectations we hold onto more than we know what is good for us!
